A new video from Marvel’s What If…? episode 7 shows Party Thor meeting Jane Foster. The series has proven adept at pushing well-known MCU characters into unusual circumstances, though many with tragic consequences for their respective universes. Despite the lighter tone, it is likely that the story of Party Thor and his Jane is going to follow suit.
In the “Sacred Timeline” of the MCU, Thor meets Jane Foster after he is cast out of Asgard and lands in New Mexico near her scientific outpost. He has been cursed to be mortal, and they immediately share feelings for one another, culminating in her inspiring him to be a hero and save the day when Loki invades, and him challenging her to use science to explain his magic. They meet again in Thor: The Dark World when Jane is wrapped up in Thor and Asgard’s battle against the Dark Elves for the Aether (a.k.a. the Reality Infinity Stone), with Jane going into a kind of S.H.I.E.L.D. witness protection following that.
