Mark Hamill shares memories of his time guest-starring on the Star Wars episode of the 1980s The Muppet Show. The episode is considered one of the classics for the series, and many praised the episode for mashing up two of the most iconic franchises at the time.

The Muppet Show ran from 1976 to 1981 and was known for the many venerable actors and entertainers who would guest-star every episode. The variety show format allowed many of these stars to step outside their comfort zones and show off singing, dancing, or comedic skills that audiences might not often see from them. And with Frank Oz producing and starring as the voice of beloved characters like Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, and Sam the Eagle, it is not hard to see how Hamill gained a spot on the show; Oz voiced Yoda. The Star Wars-themed Muppets episode aired about four months before the premiere of The Empire Strikes Back.

According to star Michael Douglas, Ant-Man 3 is heading to London in July to film. After the first two movies exceeded beyond the expectations of both critics and audiences, Marvel did not hesitate to move forward with the franchise in Phase 4. With Douglas confirmed to be returning, it looks like the Ant-Man franchise will be a proper trilogy after all.

The first Ant-Man easily won over audiences when it premiered in 2015, despite some drama when original director, Edgar Wright, left during pre-production due to creative differences with the studio. Peyton Reed stepped in to direct and delivered a film that fans and most critics enjoyed nonetheless, and continued his success with Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018. Though the films seem smaller in scale compared to other MCU films (no pun intended), many consider the lower stakes of the Ant-Man franchise an asset, as it allows the movies to focus more on the characters.

Justin Lin was recently quoted saying his thoughts were on ideas for F9 even while he was directing Star Trek Beyond. Fortunately for Star Trek fans, Lin still produced an above-average film that was successful both critically and commercially. But it might have been a little bit more if Lin had not been distracted by his former passion.

Lin first took on directing duties for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift after a successful run at Sundance with his film, Better Luck Tomorrow. Lin was interested in the latest film of the franchise, but made some changes to the script and story, wanting to focus on a more global scale for the film that did not follow a lot of the usual tropes for movies about Japan. From there, Lin’s hot streak continued, as the next three Fast and Furious films he directed cemented the series as a real franchise capable of building an audience with each installment.

Series composer, Kevin Kiner, warns that some of the music in the finale to Star Wars: The Bad Batch was enough to make him cry. Kiner has been working on this part of the Star Wars universe since George Lucas started the 3D animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoons back in 2008. With all that time spent creating music centered on the clones, it would be reasonable to understand why Kiner would be emotionally invested in their ultimate fate.

Premiering just this past May the 4th, Star Wars: The Bad Batch is a spin-off from Lucas’s The Clone Wars, which concluded with the release of season 7 on Disney+ last year. The new series centers on a group of augmented clones first introduced in the final season of the The Clone Wars, each more independent and unique than their brethren and enhanced with special abilities like tracking senses or extra strength. The current storyline has the group taking care of the newest member of their ranks, the augmented female clone Omega, a child they rescued from Kamino as they fled both the encroaching Empire and their own member, Crosshair, now brainwashed due to his inhibitor chip.

Zack Snyder is not being shy about the “torture” Warner Bros put him through during the making of the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Fans and critics have offered praise to Snyder’s cut of the film, with many hopeful to one day see more of the director’s vision in the DCEU. Whether or not that will ever happen is likely dependent on how long Snyder remembers the treatment he got from the studio this time around.

The theatrical cut of Justice League, which was released in 2017, was re-shot and directed by an uncredited Joss Whedon. Following the film’s poor reception, many fans, and eventually even cast and crew, joined a growing movement demanding that Warner Bros “Release the Snyder Cut,” believing Snyder’s original vision would have resulted in a far superior movie. Their collective prayers were answered when Warner Bros. announced work on the project would begin in 2020, and again when HBO Max officially released Zack Snyder’s Justice League on March 18, 2021.

An Amazon executive has released a statement about the massive budget for their new Lord of the Rings series. Recent reports had the company paying around $465 million for the first season, which is more than Peter Jackson’s entire Lord of the Rings trilogy back in the early 2000s. It may have been 20 years since those movies came out, but it is still a large price tag for a television series.

The show was developed for Amazon Prime by J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, who will also be serving as showrunners. Amazon Studios is producing with a unique cooperative relationship with the Tolkien Estate and Trust, New Line Cinema (the studio behind Jackson’s trilogy), and HarperCollins. At the moment only 2 seasons have been officially ordered by Amazon, though 5 seasons were discussed when the deal was initially made.

Nickelodeon aired the original Legends of the Hidden Temple from 1993-1995. Hallmarks of the show included the talking head 0f the Mayan statue, Olmec, and the iconic names of the original teams, Purple Parrots, Orange Iguanas, Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys, Silver Snakes and Red Jaguars. Margot Robbie wants to see Poison Ivy in the DCEU, and she is letting the people at Warner Bros know it. Robbie’s tenure as the character Harley Quinn has been such a consistent successes for the studio that they should know to pay attention when she has ideas. The real question is whether or not they see the value in adding Poison Ivy to the slate of characters already in the DCEU.

Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy started off as simply Batman villains, but have evolved into so much more, thanks to their popularity together in pop culture. When Harley and the Joker are on the outs, she finds solace and comfort in the relationship she has with her friend Poison Ivy. And that relationship has been portrayed across various mediums as everything from a very close friendship to a full-blown romance between the pair. All of which could be fascinating to see portrayed on the big screen, which is likely what R0bbie has in mind.

New images from Batwoman season 2 reveal the show is introducing Stephanie Brown, who is known in the comics as Spoiler. The father of Jan's baby on The Office is tennis star Andy Roddick

EXCERPT:

At long last, fans have learned the father of Jan’s baby on The Office is none other than tennis star, Andy Roddick. The identity of baby Astrid’s father has been one of the lingering questions of the series since Jan first announced her pregnancy at the end of the 4th season. Now, the only big The Office mystery fans have left to solve is who the real Scranton Strangler is.

Jan’s pregnancy was a plot point introduced as a complication for when Michael Scott began courting love interest, Holly Flax. Fortunately for the Michael-Holly relationship, Jan did not seem that interested in keeping Michael involved in her pregnancy, and did not even bother calling Michael when she went into labor. Though Jan never revealed the identity of baby Astrid’s father during the series, she insisted it was not Michael as she had gone to a sperm bank in Scranton. However, it is briefly hinted that accountant Kevin Malone might be the father, as he frequented that particular sperm bank, much to Jan’s horror when she learned of it.
